I’m Veronica Tucker, an emergency medicine and addiction medicine physician, writer, mother of three, and lifelong New Englander.

​

My poetry, nonfiction, and fiction explore the places where medicine, family, and the natural world intersect. I’m drawn to the moments that linger long after they’ve passed: conversations in the emergency department, the shifting landscape of motherhood, and the quiet beauty of the New Hampshire woods.

My work has appeared in The Offing, ONE ART, Rust & Moth, and elsewhere. I’m the author of the chapbook The House as Witness (Quillkeepers Press, 2026), and my writing has been recognized with Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominations and inclusion in Best Microfiction 2026.
